Lauren Daigle makes her Mix 94.9 debut with her latest single "You Say."

Louisiana-based Christian singer-songwriter Lauren Daigle is no stranger to music; in fact, you may remember her from both the 2010 and 2012 seasons of American Idol where she was cut just before the final 24 contestants and did make make it to Vegas but was cut in the first round each year respectively. Despite disappointments, she went on to release her first album How Can It Be in 2015 and has since notched GMA Dove Awards for New Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Best Contemporary Song of the Year.

Her second studio album Look Up Child released September 8, 2018 to positive reactions, with her single "You Say" charting at No.1 on Hot Christian Songs and No. 53 on mainstream Hot 100.

Daigle seeks to spread messages of hope and unity, and "You Say" is no exception, speaking to the greater purpose and identity she finds in her relationship with God:

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours"

With a husky, powerful voice, she's often compared to Adele and was recently a guest on both Ellen and Jimmy Fallon.

Listen for "You Say" now on Mix 94.9.
