Visiting Brittany’s Parents and Baby Shower Number 2 [PICS]

Another weekend full of laughs and hickory wood.

Brittany and I spent the weekend at her parents house for Brittany's second baby shower, the baby date is getting closer and closer!

There is never a dull moment when you spend the weekend at her parents place, but this weekend was even crazier because of the extra people who came for the shower.

Now, guys are not allowed, nor do I know why any guy would ever want to go, at the baby shower... but when it's time to pick up and load the gifts, the guys can come. So, because the guys aren't allowed, I don't have many pictures, but the one above and below are both Brittany and her Dad, Gary. Gary is always having a good time... of course that could just be the result of the bloody mary we had before went to the shower.

Brittany's aunt, Joni, made sure that dad to be (me) had something special for the baby too... and she nailed it. Joni handed me a box filled with all that VIKINGS stuff you see below. She even hand made the blanket and the little hat. These particular gifts are to stay in the basement where there will be daddy-daughter time during every Vikings game. I know, I know... I'm forming her into a Vikings fan and that my be cruel and setting her up for disappointment for years to come, but I'm the dad.

We didn't forget to enjoy ourselves around the fire with some hickory wood and adult beverages either. I tell you what, that magic hickory wood we have to travel nine miles up hill, then carry it back down and load it up to bring back to the farm is always worth it. Look at those colors.

I love going down to Gary and Maureen's (Brittany's parents) house. It's a great escape from all the city buses and concrete.
