KIMBALL -- Thousands sweat through the heat for this year's Insane Inflatable 5K.

Unlike other 5K races the Insane Inflatable 5k is all about having fun and not focusing on how long it takes you to finish the course.

The run featured an obstacle course, set up at Powder Ridge in Kimball, that was full of hills, twists, turns and of course bouncy inflatables.

Every runner had a different reason for coming out. Andrea Fierst of Isanti wore a Spongebob Squarepants shirt that symbolized a very personal reason for why she chose to run in the race.

"I'm actually doing this in memory of my dad who passed away from cancer, Spongebob was a show we watched together all the time."

This year the Insane Inflatable 5K partnered with the American Cancer Society to help benefit their Relay for Life movement.

A portion of the proceeds from the St. Cloud Insane Inflatable 5K will go to fund the next St. Cloud Relay for Life event.
