Duluth Named Most Underrated City In Minnesota
Minnesota is a cool place with many small cities and towns. We're so cool, in fact, we often overlook some of the awesome places we've got right here in our own backyard. The website Thrillist just named the city of Duluth the most underrated place in Minnesota. I'd have to agree with that! We often think of the Twin Cities as our bread and butter--but, Duluth is a star in its own right.
Duluth is a pretty big town with a population over over 86,000 residents. It is located on the westernmost point of the Great Lakes and serves as a major port city. It's rich with history due to it's location. One thing that makes Duluth stand out visually is the Aerial Lift Bridge. According to Duluth's website It also holds the worlds longest freshwater baymouth bar.
Duluth is a very beautiful place. It made Thrillist's list because it's a great place to view the Northern Lights. It also got high marks for Leif Erikson Park where a giant Viking ship is located, being home to giant cinnamon rolls from Duluth's Best Bread restaurant and having great breweries.
So, it looks like it's time to make a trip up to Duluth this summer and take in all of the beauty. What town do you think is the most underrated one in our state?
