MILACA - An update to this story based on information provided to us from the family.  They say the driver of the car that was hit was actually 19-year-old Thomas Deiderich of Sauk Rapids, not 38-year-old Mark Wolbeck of Albany. The car is owned by Wolbeck, but he was not in it at the time of the crash.   The Minnesota State Patrol provided us with the original information.

Deiderich's mom says her son suffered just minor injuries in the crash.

The Sauk Rapids man was one of two people hurt in a crash the Mille Lacs County near Milaca. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 169 and County Road 9.

A vehicle driven by 52-year-old Edwin Money of Crosslake was going east on the county road when he tried to cross the highway and struck the second vehicle.

Both men were taken to Fairview Hospital in Princeton with non life-threatening injuries.
