Valleyfair- New Safety Requirements include an RSVP
The scheduled reopen date will be this month- May 22, and the water park, Soak City will open a week later. Capacity will be limited to allow for social distancing.
Since this requirement does include people who have season passes, those people will need to go to Valleyfair's website and manually reserve a timeslot to visit the park.
There are some other safety requirements that will be in place while you are visiting the park. Some of those include wearing a mask at all times unless you are seated eating and/or drinking. Or if you are in a pool/waterpark. This will be required even for people who are fully vaccinated.
Valleyfair is also encouraging people to use whatever contactless payment method you can. Whether it's a credit or debit card, Apple pay or Google pay. And people will also be required to stay six feet apart from other park attendees. One person from each group will be asked to use the Valleyfair app. This way the park can update people with announcements in real-time if needed.
Any information that you need is available on the Valleyfair website.
Later this week, Governor Walz is set to announce a reopen plan for Minnesota. It's not clear if this will change any of these requirements. So, best to keep an eye on the Valleyfair website if you plan to visit the park.
