Crunchy tacos are good, soft shell tacos are great but my favorite kind of taco is, well, a free taco. Just my luck- Taco Bell is giving away free crunchy tacos on Tuesday, May 4th because of something called a 'taco moon!'

What is a Taco Moon? I don't know and frankly I don't care. Ok, I cared enough to look it up and it turns out its a quarter moon that vaguely resembles a folded hard shell taco. Sure, great, just make with the free taco!

The giveaway begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday night and will go until 11:59 p.m.

"Taco Bell does not claim to own copyrights to a lunar phase of the moon, but stands behind the fact this really does look like a Taco Bell taco," the company said in a statement, adding that this is Taco Bell's first-ever global campaign.

“Taco Bell has been an established brand in the U.S. for nearly 60 years and we are thrilled by the accelerating fandom we’re seeing globally,” said President of Taco Bell, International, Julie Felss Masino in the statement. “As we're opening more and more restaurants internationally, we know the May 4 moon will take us to new 'heights' as we introduce ourselves to new future fans in a delicious way.”

There are an abundance of Taco Bell restaurants in the St. Cloud area, with locations off of Highway 10 on the east side of St. Cloud, one on Highway 15 near Wal Mart and a new location in Waite Park near Home Depot.
