A man whose heart stopped back in November took to reddit to thank St. Cloud first responders and hospital staff for saving his life.

Reddit user Stclouddeadguy posted a photo of himself in the hospital with the caption, "Thank you to all the first responders and hospital staff in St. Cloud who saved my life last November."

"On November 11th I woke up in the middle of the night with my heart racing," he goes on to share in the post. "I've had asthma attacks that have felt similar but my albuterol inhaler didn't do anything. After getting my clothes on to get brought to the ER by my girlfriend I made it halfway down the stairs before my legs gave out. The next thing I remember was being in the ICU surrounded by my family."

Apparently, his heart stopped for between 10-15 minutes, he shares. First responders had to shock him twice and do chest compressions to get his heart going again. He goes on to thank and recognize those involved in saving his life.

"The St. Cloud hospital staff, from the neurology and cardiology doctors to the housekeeping staff were so amazing, kind, and professional. St. Cloud gets a bad rap around here, a lot of it deserved, but some truly amazing people live and work here. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart."

As to what caused his issues, he says there were a lot of theories ranging from severe cat allergies to a heart attack, though he's personally settled on the idea of Sleep Apnea after seeing a sleep specialist.

We may not know this man's name, but if you work at the St. Cloud Hospital, you may remember him. Know that he -- and we -- appreciate you and the work you do!
