Special Beer Created for St. Cloud Relay for Life

SAUK RAPIDS - A new beer has been created to help raise money for the St. Cloud Relay for Life. The team called "Babes & Dreams" has partnered with Urban Lodge Brewery & Restaurant in Sauk Rapids to develop the special beer.

There's a tapping event of the "Babes & Dreams" beer Saturday from noon until 4:00 p.m. at Urban Lodge.

It's described as a Belgian Gold variety that's been aged for the past five months in Chardonnay barrels to give it a mellow, fruit forward characteristic.

Team co-chairs Jaime Buley and Paula Capes - and cancer survivors - say their event includes a commemorative glass, your first beer is free, unlimited pizza buffet, and a chance to win free beer for a year.

The cost is $20 in advance, or $25 at the door. All of the proceeds benefit the St. Cloud American Cancer Society Relay for Life event on Friday, June 9th at 6:00 p.m. at Apollo High School.
