Sauk Rapids River Days Kicks Off Thursday

The annual three-day Sauk Rapids River Days festival kicks off tomorrow  night with their Community Ambassador Pageant.

The pageant starts at 7 p.m. at the Sauk Rapids-Rice High School Performing Arts Center. It's a way to give women in the community a chance to earn scholarships and make friends while they represent the city. In order to be part of the pageant, these women must live in the Sauk Rapids community and be between 16 and 20 years old.

Last year's community ambassadors; Anna Walz, Morgan Weinand and Jenna Bukowski will also be present.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children between 5 and 10 and free for kids 4 and under. The event is open to the public.
