Radio Recipes – Tia’s Tator Tot Hotdish Burgers [PHOTOS]

Tia Gonsior is a Minnesota girl who now lives in Colorado, but wanted to share one of her Minnesota Favorite creations. Tator Tot Hamburger Hotdish Burgers! INGREDIENTS

• Burgers (choose your favorite kind: turkey, beef, bean, veggie.)
• Frozen tator tots
• 3/4 cup yellow onion (chopped.)
• 3/4 cup mushrooms (dry, cleaned, and chopped.)
• 6 oz. whipped cream cheese
• Hamburger buns
• Salt and pepper
• Oil for sauteing

DIRECTIONS

Saute the onions and mushrooms in 2 Tablespoons oil. Generously crack salt and pepper in while cooking down over medium heat. Do this while you are cooking the burgers, making sure to add salt and pepper to taste to each side of the burger.

Also, oven cook your tator tots at the same time, by following the directions on the packaging.

When the onions are transluescent and the mushrooms are soft, fold in the whipped cream cheese.

BUILD YOUR PERFECT TATOR TOT HOTDISH BURGER

• Bottom:  Toasted Bun
• Burger
• Dollop of cream cheese mixture
• 5 Crispy Tator tots
• Top: Toasted Bun
