Local 411 – Woofstock Companion 5K Walk For Animals Sept. 12th
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Yesterday, Marit Ortega and Skittles the kitten stopped by our studios to encourage you to adopt a kitten or two during the Two for One Kitten sale going on now at Tri County Humane Society, and don't forget to join in the fun and festivities of the 27th Annual Woofstock Companion Walk. The walk will take place at Wilson Park on Saturday, September 12th.

REGISTRATION
Registration will begin at 9 am with the walk starting at 10am. You can get details and pledge forms by clicking HERE, or by going to tricountyhumanesociety.org.
FOOD & FESTIVITIES
Food and fun will be taking place from 9 am to 2 pm. Activites include:
- Games
- Arts & Crafts
- Face Painting
- Food
- Silent Auction
- Animal demonstrations
- Free Bouncy House
- Dunk Tank
- Hot dog eating contest
- Best Dressed pet
- Best Dressed person
- Dog park along the beautiful Mississippi River!
PRIZES
There will be prizes awarded for all qualifying walkers, and prizes for top fundraising teams. Prizes are amazing this year, and include:
- Raise $75: Woofstock Tote bags
- Raise $150: Woofstock Tote & T-shirt
- Raise $200: Woofstock Tot, T-shirt & Pet Microchip
- Raise $300: All of the above, plus entry in a Grand Prize Drawing to win 2 Roundtrip Southwest Airline Tickets!
For every $50 you raise, receive a raffle ticket to win a Cat Basket, Dog Basket, or Family Fun Pack!
TIP FOR COLLECTING PLEDGES:
Bring your dog with you while collecting pledges. You can even use the mobile App Walk For a Dog to raise even more funds for animals at TCHS. For every mile you walk, a donation is made to your favorite animal shelter. :-)
FLAG OF FRIENDS
Every year, TCHS honors those that are no longer with us but forever in our hearts with a special "flag of friends," which leads the 5k walk for animals. Make a gift in memory of a beloved companion or loved one, and they will write their name on a ribbon that will be sewn into the flag of friends. Simply add a memo with the word "Ribbon" and the names you wish to include.
