When it's Fall, and the temperature gets to be a bit cooler, generally people start thinking about the holidays.  One of the nicest parts of the holiday season are the musical and theatre shows that happen.  Some people plan their activities around some of these shows and they have become a holiday tradition.

Perhaps this tradition is what has prompted The Blenders acapella group to announce this early that they have cancelled their holiday shows due to COVID, and the contagious Delta variant, concerns.

The Blenders are originally from Fargo, North Dakota, but now call Minneapolis home,  have played all over the 5 state area, including the Paramount theatre here in St. Cloud.  This year they were scheduled to perform at the Pantages Theatre in Minneapolis December 10-12.  They made the statement on their Facebook page regarding their decision to cancel.

Last year everything was cancelled, including this annual show.  They did opt to do some virtual performances.  This was a trend that many groups did in order to keep the spirit of the holiday alive and also to allow people who look forward to these performances something to keep their holiday traditions going.

At this time, it doesn't look like they have any plans in place to do any performances virtually, but they haven't ruled it out.  The statement says that if they do decide to do that instead, like last year, they will make that known coming up within the next couple of months.  So, if you are interested in seeing any of their performances for the holiday season, keep an eye on their social media page.
