It sounds a little odd, but Benton County Deputies are looking for information that'll help them track down the driver of a motorcycle that crashed on Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m. in Langola Township.

According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office official Facebook page, "the driver of the motorcycle appeared to have been traveling at a high rate of speed and left the roadway on a sharp curve."

It happened about a quarter mile west of Highway 10, according to reports. By the time that deputies arrived on the scene, to their surprise, the motorcycle and the driver were both gone.

Deputies are now asking for your help tracking down the driver. Authorities wrote, "If you or someone you know came across this accident and spoke with the driver, or potentially saw a person of interest walking on the road in this area around this time frame please contact me."

You'll want to make sure you ask for Deputy Mulvehill and you can reach the sheriff's office at 320-968-7201.

The post has been shared about a dozen times on social media with one Facebook user Tim Kuebelbeck asking, "Stolen bike?"

Authorities didn't provide any further information as to who called in the accident or a description of the driver.
