
Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By A Car
HOWARD LAKE -- One person is dead after being hit by a car Friday night in Wright County.
The incident happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Highway 12 at 7th Avenue in Howard Lake.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 55-year-old Kent Mattson, of Howard Lake, was heading north on County Road 6 at Highway 12 when he struck a pedestrian in the intersection.
59-year-old Richard Jacobs, of Waconia, was the victim. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The state patrol says icy roads played a factor in the crash.
