
Charity Challenge Collects Record $464,000 For Area Food Shelves
ST. CLOUD -- The annual "Community Charity Challenge" raised a record amount during this year's fundraiser.
The Norman C. Skalicky Foundation and the Central Minnesota Community Foundation announced Friday they've raised over $464,000, which includes a $100,000 match from the Skalicky Foundation.
The money raised will benefit the St. Cloud Salvation Army, Catholic Charities and the St. Joseph Community Food Shelves.
The challenge raised over $21,000 more than last year. Since 2001, the Community Charity Challenge has raised over $2.7-million.
