Parents Ask Disney for a Princess with Down Syndrome
Disney has been doing a better job over the years of diversifying the characters they offer in their feature films, but parents of 15-month-old Delaney think it's time to offer a prince or princess with Down syndrome.
I think this is a great cause.
Delaney has Down syndrome. Her parents, Keston and Andrea, have started a petition online, which you can SIGN HERE, asking Disney to promote disabled characters as heroes and heroines so kids like Delaney can have characters they can look up to.
As of Friday morning, the peition has over 45,800 signatures. Very close to their goal of 46,000.
Do you think it's time Disney featured a hero or heroine with Down syndrome? Sign the petition HERE.
