Menopause is something that we really never discuss. Our mom's tell us all about what we can expect as we mature through out teen years, and through childbirth...but I guess we just figure that by the time we live through menopause should be no big deal...right?  That's not always the case.

  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • irregular periods
  • Fatigue
  • Sleeping disorders
  • Headaches
  • Weight gain
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Memory lapses
  • Muscle tension

Although there is nothing wrong with going through menopause, it can be debilitating for some women. Depending on how bad your symptoms are, you may consider some of the following solutions.  There are lots of approaches to dealing with the symptoms:
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
  • Alternative Medicines, including acupuncture, massage, and herbal supplements
  • Exercise
  • Eating Healthy

Although there are many solutions provided to women, experts recommend that you deal with menopause with natural approaches, unless symptoms are so severe that you can't live a normal life.  Sometime...being able to laugh at ourselves, and realize this is natural, is the best medicine we can find.

It's a very REAL thing...and support of family and friends can help.  If you are going through menopause, it's best to let those that are close to you, KNOW that you are going through "The Change".   It can help them understand why you may be irritable, forgetful...and sometimes it just helps to share with others.
