I'm sure there are a lot of other single moms out there that are as busy as I am. I'm always looking for ways to save time and money, and I think I've just found some great ideas!  I like to cook, but finding the time to go shopping can be a challenge. What if the food was delivered to my door?  Too expensive right? Think again! You can even shop local!

If you just want to save time running to the store, you can call or shop online with Coborn's. It's a great way to:

  • Maximize your time. Click. Pick. Done.
  • Stretch your dollars by avoiding impulse buying
  • Enjoy more time-Focus on what really matters to you.
  • Food delivered in waterproof totes and insulated coolers
  • Delivery is FREE on orders over $100. There is a delivery fee for orders under $100. Fees range from $5 to $10.

If there is no alcohol being delivered, you do NOT have to be home. If you are ordering alcohol, then a person 21 or older will need to sign for the delivery.

I just placed an order from HomeChef.com. They gave me $30 off my first order, and I have a credit of $10 for next time. I ordered three meals for four people. Deliveries can be on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. Meals cost approximately $10 each. You can also get add-ons for an additional price, which include fruit baskets, smoothies, or breakfasts. My total was just under $90 for three meals for 4 people. Not Bad for healthy food for my boys. I'll let you know how it goes when my first order comes in.

Hello Fresh is a lot like Home Chef. They offer three different meal options, Veggie Boxes $9, Classic Boxes $10, or Family Boxes $8.75 per meal. Hello Fresh offers:

As with all food delivery sites, they ask that you fix the dishes that have ingredients that need to remain the freshest at the earliest you can, but ingredients are guaranteed to stay fresh for one week.  All are delivered in waterproof totes with some form of cooling, whether it be ice packs, or cooling crates. If you decide to try one of these great services, let me know how it goes.
