Winter Weather Advisory for Central Minnesota

UNDATED -- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for central Minnesota.  It will be in effect from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday until midnight on Saturday.

Mixed precipitation is expected with between one and three inches of snow.  Ice accumulation could be up to a tenth of an inch.

Precipitation will start out as freezing rain before transitioning to a wintry mix and then becoming all snow late Saturday.

A Winter Storm Watch will be in effect for areas to our northeast up by Duluth.

Thunderstorms are possible to our south.
