Update: Stabbing Victim Knew Attacker
ST. CLOUD -- An update to a story we first told you about Monday. St. Cloud Police say the suspect and victim in the 33rd Avenue stabbing were acquaintances.
The incident happened shortly before 6:00 p.m. in the 400 block of 33rd Avenue North.
St. Cloud Police say the suspect is 32-year-old Presely Browning Johns II of Waite Park. Johns is being held in Stearns County Jail, facing charges of 1st and 2nd degree assault.
The victim is a 58-year-old man from St. Cloud. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for what the police believe are non-life threatening injuries. He sustained cuts to his throat and hands.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and there’s no threat to public safety at this time.
