Today Is Mac & Cheese Day: What’s Your Flavor Crave?
IT'S HOW WE GREW UP
How many of use grew up eating macaroni and cheese out of a box? I truly think that this one of of the first foods I learned how to make on my own; and I thought I was such an adult. Heat up the water, add a little salt, wait for it to boil and throw the macaroni in for 10 minutes; then add butter and the cheese mixture and stir. In under 20 minutes, a great big bowl of cheesy deliciousness. I may not be able to tell you the exact amounts of butter and milk that were necessary to make one box, but I bet many of you can.
WHY IS IT A KID FAVORITE?
How many of you brought that tradition to your kids? Tell me...why DO kids like it? I would think they would hate it! It's mushy? I guess even little kids need there comfort food. I have two kids who LOVE it...one who hasn't yet tried it and he's almost 21. Mushy food? check the no box for him.
50 VARIETIES FROM KRAFT IS STILL NOT ENOUGH
Did you know that Kraft makes over 50 varieties of mac & cheese? Wow! If you didn't like the original, we'll MAKE you like it. There's got to be some flavorful combination that you haven't tried.
My son Mason will make his own flavorful Mac & Cheese recipe. I'm not sure exactly what he puts in it, but it IS darn good. It's usually whatever kind of Mac & Cheese I have in the house...sometimes Kraft, sometimes Velveeta shells and cheese; but he adds chili powder and cumin I think? Nice and hot...that's how he likes it!
