Starbucks.  Love them or hate them, or just indifferent, whatever it is, they are a giant and very successful coffee chain. People joke that you can find one on almost every corner.  And that really isn't that far from the truth. They are everywhere.  And if you like Starbucks, and you are willing to pay $5 or more for a cup of "fluffy" coffee, that is your prerogative.

And that is one of the reasons that the new CEO is making this change.

.CEO Brian Niccol said the company is aiming to “clear the noise” for “better innovation” on its menu.

And this "clearing the noise" isn't just referring to the beverages, it is also referring some of the food items.

“In the coming months, you’ll see us begin to optimize our menu offerings, resulting in roughly 30% reduction in both beverages and food,”

Also - they are bringing back the condiment bar.  That way you can add your own cream and/or sweetener if you would like.  That was removed during the pandemic, and hasn't been back.

They are also no longer up charging for special milk other than dairy.  This way, if you have an allergy, or just prefer not to drink cow's milk, you won't be charged more for that preference. That's a good thing.
