Random Roadtrip: Can You Name This Week’s Destination? (12.09.20)
Think you can name a road trip destination without looking at a map?
Every Wednesday during the Drive Home with Adam, tune in to play Random Road Trip. The premise is simple -- Adam's planned out a road trip, but he's not telling you where you're going. Instead, he'll give you a series of directions starting from St. Cloud, which you have to follow along with in order to name the final destination. You're welcome to follow along on a map if you need to, but if you can do it in your head -- more power to you!
Here are this week's directions, as given out on-air:
This Random Roadtrip destination is just far enough, that we don’t want to drive there and back in one day, so we’re going to make an overnight of it. Starting in St. Cloud we take Highway 23 headed Northeast out past Foley and Milaca, Mora and Brook Park until we hit I-35. We’ll get on I-35 headed North and follow that up towards Duluth. Just past Black Bear Casino Resort, we’ll take exit 237 for MN-33 toward Cloquet/the Iron Range. We’ll follow MN-33 up until it merges with MN Highway 53 and follow that all the way up to Virginia, Minnesota. Just past Virginia, we’ll exit Highway 53 for highway 169 up past Peyla and Soudan. Just past Burntside we reach a quiet little Minnesota city with a population of just over 3000 and a popular wildlife sanctuary. Where are we, and what research and education facility is there?
