Now Playing on Mix 94.9: New Alicia Keys, Jonas Brothers
There's new music playing now on Mix 94.9!
Alicia Keys' latest single "Underdog" is playing now on Mix 94.9. It's the third single to release from her upcoming seventh studio album titled Alicia, follower her two previous releases "Time Machine" and "Show Me Love." "Underdog" was co-written with Ed Sheeran and highlights the everyday struggles of the overlooked and underestimated.
"I love this song so much because it's about real life and real people and our experiences," Keys said in a press release. "We've all been in a place in our lives where we've had to defy the odds. It's never easy. One of my favorite lyrics in the song is, 'They say I would never make it but I was built to break the mold.' I don't think there's a person on the planet that hasn't felt that way."
According to a social media post from the "Girl on Fire" singer, Alicia is set to release March 20, 2020. She's also going on a World Tour beginning in June, though no Minnesota dates made the calendar.
The latest single from the Jonas Brothers "What a Man Gotta Do" is also playing now on Mix 94.9.
Their first release of 2020, the song was accompanied by a much talked-about music video in which the three brothers and their wives recreate famous scenes from movies like Say Anything…, Risky Business and Grease.
In an interview with Radio.com, the three brothers read suggestions from fans to find out what a man actually needs to do to get "locked down." Answers include everything from "Actually load the dishwasher the correct way," to "Make dinner." Watch the interview below.
