If you thought you heard new music on Mix 94.9 this week, you thought right!

We added two new songs from Zedd feat. Maren Morris and Meghan Trainor.

In a surprising collaboration, DJ/producer Zedd asked country singer Maren Morris to be part of his track "The Middle." Zedd sampled about 15 vocalists, but it was Maren's voice he ended up liking the most, despite her country background. "I don’t care about the genre you’re in. If you sing the song and I want to cry, then I know it’s perfect.” No kidding! Should we expect a pop cross-over from her soon?

Meghan Trainor's "No Excuses" is to 2018 what Aretha Franklin's "Respect" was to 1967.

Why you acting like you never met a lady
I don’t disrespect you
Don’t you disrespect me
Your mama raised you better than that.”

Following hot on the heels of the #MeToo movement, Trainor's no-nonsense anthem is the latest single from her upcoming third album set for release sometime later this year.
