Last month, two hikers found a bald eagle that had been hit by car. They scooped it up and brought it to a vet. The bird was named "Patriot" by the doctor and Patriot was in rough shape. He had lost a lot of weight, a broken wing, paralyzed leg and dislocated shoulder, among other ailments. Last week, Patriot was under anesthesia during a procedure and stopped breathing. That's when the vet stepped in to save the bird. He performed mouth to beak resuscitation. Patriot came back to life and is expected to be fine! You can watch the video of Dr. Jeff Cooney saving Patriot the Eagle HERE.

In case you need to be told, it is not wise to solicit murder on your Facebook page. A woman in Philadelphia was recently arrested for just that. She put up a status that said she would pay anybody a thousand dollars to kill her ex-boyfriend. As if that wasn't bad enough, one of her "friends" raised his hand and said he would do it. They continued back and forth until her ex-boyfriend's aunt saw the exchange and called police. Sure enough, when officers went to the man's house to question him, they found a loaded handgun on the coffee table. Both were arrested and are facing a number of charges. You can see her mugshot and his profile picture HERE. (By the way, in his profile pic, he's holding a gun. Wow.)
