The  holidays are basically upon us, and we are still dealing with events that need to be socially distant.  Of course we still want to have some sort of holiday cheer, and  the Minnesota State Fair is getting into the holiday spirit.

What is it?  It's a drive through event.  I feel like there have been so many of these types of things lately, but honestly, what else are we supposed to do?  Sounds like the safest way to enjoy some of the holiday cheer that we, as a society are craving.

This event is a one-mile drive-thru with a dozen seasonal scenes featuring more than 1 million holiday lights, illuminated trees, icicle and art installations, a festive gingerbread house, and other attractions. After the drive-thru experience, guests will have the chance to purchase a selection of tasty food and drink.

They are considering this as a "must-see" attraction for the holiday season.  You can purchase tickets on their website.  Cars will be staggered by every 15 minutes.  The drive through should take about 45 minutes.   Tickets are required to be purchased in  advance, and no walk up or cash sales will be accepted.

You can also download a printable map of the light festival.  It does include each light display and shows where you are to enter the drive through tour.

With so many things being cancelled this year, it's nice to have some things that are being added.
