Minnesota's Largest Employer will Eliminate a Large Number of Positions Today

Target confirmed that positions will be eliminated today (Tuesday), along with changes at their corporate headquarters in Minneapolis . The exact number of layoffs hasn't been released but Facebook posts from Target employees suggest it will be a big number.

Target is Minnesota's largest employer with over 30,000 employees.

**Update - Molly Snyder (Target Spokesperson) said the company is eliminating 1,700 positions, on top of 1,400 open positions they will now close.
