Minnesota’s Favorite Trashy Reality TV Show

Over the last 20 years, we have come to learn (I hope anyway) that the term "reality TV show" is really just a label at this point. We all know those shows have about as much to do with reality as any scripted show out there.

The cat got out of that bag a long time ago. These "reality show contestants" usually are people who are trying to get into Hollywood and acting. So how "real" they are isn't even up for debate.

Then there is the production side of it. There's the editing, the cast manipulation -- again, the editing. Producers are telling contestants to act a certain way or say certain things.

Nothing is more apparent in that fact than those "trashy" reality shows. And Minnesota's most-watched is -- Bachelor in Paradise.

That surprised me because I've never heard of it. Of the top 5 most-watched in Minnesota, I've only heard of three.
