Lance Bass Is Engaged to Boyfriend Michael Turchin [PHOTO]

Lance Bass, who made a whole lot of us squee when he and the rest of 'N Sync reunited at the VMAs last weekend, recently did something else that was cause for celebration: He popped the question to his boyfriend of almost two years, model Michael Turchin.

Early Sunday morning, Michael tweeted:

But it wasn't until Lance followed up a few hours later that everyone knew just what had happened:

The couple was in New Orleans -- presumably for the annual Southern Decadence festivities -- when Lance proposed, but Us Weekly says he first "texted his future husband's parents to ask for their permission." (How very 21st century of him.)

"They're such a great couple, everyone is so happy for them," a source revealed. "Their friends and family are thrilled."
