Jule’s Bistro’s November C.A.K.E to Support Local Hospice House
November's C.A.K.E features brown sugar and date with maple buttercream, maple toffee drizzle and chocolate leaves and sounds like the most delicious fall treat!
Back in September, we highlighted Jules' Bistro's new culinary campaign C.A.K.E. which stands for Culinary Acts of Kindness Encouraged. Each month, the downtown St. Cloud-based cafe partners with a local charity, nonprofit or organization to support with a portion of sales from a specially created cake creation. October's cake was a strawberry, cardamom and rose cake with vanilla rose buttercream and edible rose petals with proceeds going to Anna Marie's Alliance -- a Central MN-based domestic violence shelter and a private non-profit that provides safe shelter, support, and referral services for battered women and their children.
With November now here, Jules' Bistro has announced its latest partnership and cake with a post on Facebook. The cake is described as "brown sugar and date with maple buttercream, maple toffee drizzle and chocolate leaves" and a portion of proceeds "will be set aside to directly support the foodservice program at Quiet Oaks."
Quiet Oaks Hospice House is located in St. Augusta, MN on "10 acres of wooded, serene landscaping" and specializes "in compassionate care for our residents and their families offering both hospice and respite care." Thirteen dollars of every $20 slice of this special cake goes directly to support meal service at Quiet Oaks; an entire cake can also be purchased for $136 (which may sound like a lot, but at least 7 people bought a whole cake last month!).
