St. Cloud’s Jules Bistro Selling $20 Slices of Cake for Good Cause
A portion of the proceeds from every slice of cake goes to support a local cause or organization.
Jules Bistro in downtown St. Cloud is stepping up and showing their support for local causes with a new menu item -- a $20 slice of cake. Yes, you read that right -- $20 per slice.
While that may seem rather expensive for a slice of cake (let's be honest -- it is), here's the reason why: $13 dollars of the proceeds will go directly towards a local cause or organization!
"Everything feels a little (or a lot) crummy right now, doesn’t it?" reads the caption of a recent post on Jules Bistro's Facebook page. "In that space, it’s sometimes hard to see THE GOOD — but there’s still so darn much of it." The post goes on to recognize the good found in conversations with customers, the good found in support from dedicated patrons, and in the good found in the service of local nonprofit organizations.
"We’re focusing on those GOOD THINGS with a new initiative called C.A.K.E." the post goes on. "C.A.K.E." stands for "Culinary Acts of Kindness Encouraged." Now through October, Jules Bistro is showing its own act of culinary kindness with a cake inspired by Anna Marie's Alliance -- a St. Cloud-based organization that provides safety and support for women and children in abusive situations or relationships. The cake is strawberry, cardamom, rose with vanilla rose buttercream and edible rose petals, and as state $13 of the $20 per slice cost goes to support the food service program at Anna Marie's Alliance. Whole cakes are also available, says Jules Bistro, for the cost of $136 (as of writing 7 people have already bought an entire cake!).
It really is good any way you slice it! Support local nonprofit Anna Marie's Alliance when you enjoy a slice of cake (or entire cake) at Jules Bistro in downtown St. Cloud!
