It’s Official! Busch Light Is Officially Bringing Back Apple
Busch Light has made it official, well it was Busch Beer that announced it, but Busch Light Apple has officially been announced that it would be back on liquor store shelves. The beer maker went with another 'Apple' guy to help with the announcement, check it out below!
Who is Ronald G Wayne & why is he talking about Busch Light Apple?
Busch's Instagram page had the video announcement from a former Apple Computer Company executive, Ronald G. Wayne.
You might be asking yourself, who is Ronald G. Wayne, I thought it was Woz and Jobs who founded Apple. Well, you are sort of right, Wayne didn't stick around too long with the company.
Wayne co-founded the then Apple Computer Company, now Apple, as a partnership with Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs on April 1, 1976, providing administrative oversight and documentation for the new venture. Twelve days later, he sold his 10% share of the new company back to Jobs and Wozniak, for $800 (equivalent to $4,400 in 2024), and one year later accepted a final $1,500 (equivalent to $8,300 in 2024) to forfeit any potential future claims against the newly incorporated Apple.
Oof that had to hurt. Well Busch clearly doesn't want you to be the next Ronald G Wayne, hence he was cast to appear in the online ad, advising you not to miss your chance at the limited release.
Apple was released back in 2020 and was a HUGE hit, but the beermaker pivoted away from the apple flavor to a peach flavor in 2023.
They read the comments
According to an online press release from Anheuser-Busch, they brought back the beer in part because 'every third comment' left on the brands social media was about bringing Busch Light Apple back.
“One in every three comments on Busch Light’s social posts are from fans urging us to bring back Busch Light Apple, and we’ve read every single one,” said Krystyn Stowe, Head of Marketing Busch Family & Natural Family at Anheuser-Busch. “We have always listened to our fans and met them exactly where they are, which has catapulted the Busch Light brand to the top of the beer industry.” - Anheuser-Busch
When will Busch Light Apple hit Central Minnesota Shelves?
I've got it on good authority that St. Cloud area stores will start to see the beer arriving in time for Cinco De Mayo. Some stores might get it a little earlier or a little later depending on when the delivery truck arrives.
If you are looking at trying the social media fueled return, the online press release indicated that it wouldn't be around too long...
