I Survived My First 5K!

This past weekend I did my very first 5K with my mom. We participated in Mama Marla's Hike it or Bike it which celebrated its 15th anniversary! Since 2001, the 5K has been used as a fundraiser to help buy Christmas presents for less fortunate children in Todd County.

When I woke up to get ready for the event on Saturday it was 30 degrees, but that didn't stop me or 120 other participants! Most likely because they wanted Marla's spaghetti at the end of it!

My legs were sore after but It felt good knowing that it would bring a smile to the face of a local child!

The Insane Inflatable 5K is coming up on June 11th at Powder Ridge and a portion of the proceeds from that one are going to benefit the American Cancer Society! If you need to get registered click here!
