Saturday I had the privilege of participating as the Emcee of Cold Spring's Old Glory 5K and 1K Run in honor of our Disabled American Vets.  I met so many fantastic people that have served and given us the great opportunities that we have in this country.  I also met a lot of great people that were running to help raise funds to support our American Disabled Vets.  There are so many untold stories of Vets and their bravery, saving lives, protecting others, and making unimaginable sacrifices for many of us.This years race had over 1,000 participants, and what appeared to be thousands of spectators as well.

Pictured above are some of the runners young and old that ran to support the DAV. In 2012, approximately $25,000 was raised to help assist DAV and their families here in the local chapter. The money has been used to purchase new vans to assist the DAV as well, for free medical transportation for medical appointments.
