With the Great Minnesota Get Together just two weeks away, the Minnesota State Fair has released its list of savings, deals and discounts opportunities.

Discount Days

One way to save on admission costs is to take advantage of this year's Discount Days. Discount Days are:

Thrifty Thursday (Aug. 22)

Discounted admission prices at the entrance gates:

  • $13 for adults (13-64)
  • $10 for seniors (65+)
  • $10 for kids (5-12)

Deals on merchandise and food for all fair guests. All-day specials offered on Mighty Midway and Kidway rides & games.

Seniors & Kids Day (Monday, Aug. 26)

Discounted admission prices for seniors and kids at the entrance gates:

  • $10 for seniors (65+)
  • $10 for kids (5-12)

Deals on merchandise and food for all fair guests. All-day specials offered on Mighty Midway and Kidway rides & games.

Military Appreciation Day (Tuesday, Aug. 27)

Discounted admission prices at the entrance gates for active military, their spouses and kids; retired military and their spouses; and military veterans and their spouses:

  • $10 for adults (13-64)*
  • $10 for seniors (65+)*
  • $10 for kids (5-12)*

Deals on merchandise and food for all fair guests. Early Bird specials offered on Mighty Midway and Kidway rides & games until 1 p.m.

*Requires valid documentation of service.

Read & Ride Day (Wednesday, Aug. 28)

Discounted admission prices at the entrance gates for public library cardholders with valid public library card (one discount per card):

  • $13 for adults (13-64)
  • $10 for seniors (65+)
  • $10 for kids (5-12)

All-day specials offered on Mighty Midway and Kidway rides & games.

Seniors Day (Thursday, Aug. 29)

Discounted admission price for seniors at the entrance gates:

  • $10 for seniors (65+)

Deals on merchandise and food for all fair guests. Early Bird specials offered on Mighty Midway and Kidway rides & games until 1 p.m.

Kids & Last Chance Day (Monday, Sept. 2)

Discounted admission price for kids at the entrance gates:

  • $10 for kids (5-12)

Blue Ribbon Bargain Book

Another great way to save at the Minnesota State Fair is to purchase a Blue Ribbon Bargain Book. Available for just $5, the Blue Ribbon Bargain Book contains over 150 coupons for savings on food, merchandise and fair attractions for all 12 days of the State Fair.

Deals, Drawings & Giveaways

Be sure to download and print off a copy of the Fair's Deals, Drawings & Giveaways. Separate from the Blue Ribbon Bargain Book, this free guide lists discount days, best values, free stuff, items for less than $1 and hidden bargains at the fair!

Last Chance Flier

The last day of the State Fair is a sure way to find savings, deals and discounts! Pick up a Last Chance Flier (available Labor Day, Monday, September 2) for a full list of deals on food and merchandise!

Pre-Book Tickets

Finally, a sure way to save a few bucks is simply to book your State Fair tickets ahead of time. Until 9:00pm August 21 (the day before the Fair kicks off), adults get $3 off admission price while kids and seniors get $1 off. You can pre-book tickets at mnstatefair.org, by visiting the State Fair Ticket Booth or at participating Cub Foods.

The Minnesota State Fair runs August 22 through Labor Day, September 2.
