ST. CLOUD - Another fundraising deadline has come and gone for the planned St. Cloud Aquatic and Community Center. The Y was hoping to collect the final $1 million needed to break ground by this past Monday. That's after missing the original deadline of the middle of October.

Executive Director Greg Gack says they're still working hard to raise the money, and encourages anyone who wants to donate to do it now.

Gack says he plans to meet with St. Cloud city leaders early next week to talk about the project. He has said they won't break ground until all of the money has been raised. They originally wanted to break ground in October on the 103,000 square foot facility.

The city is putting up $14 million in half-cent sales tax money. The rest of the $25 million project is being funded by donations.
