I will be the first to admit that I have a serious addiction to technology.  The top problem on my list - my cell phone.  I carry mine around as if my life depended on it being in a certain proximity to my hands.  When I heard Chad & Kelly from the morning show talking about this new free app Checky, I had to checky it out for myself.

At first I was hesitant.  Do I really want to know how many times I check my phone each day?  What will the numbers look like after a week?

Last night I downloaded the app at about 8:30 and hit the sheets around 10.  Within that hour and a half I had checked my phone eight times, which doesn't sound like much,  but when you break it down, that's a phone check every eleven minutes.  Yikes.

I thought for sure by this time today I'd have a number in the 30's, but I'm finding out that I don't check my phone that often at work.

Believe me, I'm still using technology to check all the same things I check on my phone,  but I'm using my work computer.  Still, this app really helps put things in perspective.  In less than a day I've identified that I check my phone the most in the evening when I'm lounging on the couch.

Curious to see what number a full twenty-four-hours will bring.
