Amazon is Raising the Price of Minnesotans Prime Memberships
Attention all Amazon Prime users and addicts! It was just announced on Friday, January 19th that Amazon Prime memberships would be switching from $10.99 a month to $12.99 a month. Of course this isn't a huge deal, it'll end up costing you $24 more a year. Student Prime memberships also are getting a price bump, moving from $5.49 to $6.49 a month.
Luckily there is a way to get around this new price increase! If you pay for a full year up front it'll only cost you $99, which is about $8.25 a month. So if it is possible, paying it all at once will save you about $50 over the course of a year. The new pricing takes affect January 19th for new users and current customers will notice the price increase on membership renewal after February 18th.
