Winter Weather Advisory for Snow

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Stearns, Morrison, and Wright Counties -- with areas just to the west included in a Winter Storm Warning.

1 to 3 inches of snow is expected in St. Cloud, with much more in places like Willmar and Alexandria.

From the National Weather Service this morning: Rain and snow spread east across the area this afternoon, then transition to snow for tonight and Saturday morning. The forecast remains consistent with 6+ inches across western and southern Minnesota, with a very tight gradient along the Mississippi River. Little, if any, snow may fall northeast of there. More precipitation is expected on Monday, although primarily rain is expected. Temperatures will warm slightly to near-normal values for the middle of the upcoming week.
