Winter Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions Central Minnesota in effect through Midnight tonight.
Two to five four of snow is expected across the area. Plan on slippery road conditions that could impact the morning or evening commute, so allow for extra time to reach your destination.
The Winter Weather Advisory includes Benton, Mille Lacs, Meeker, Morrison, Sherburne, Wright and more counties -- including the Twin Cities metro area.

In addition to the snow, strong northwest winds with gusts of 30 to 40 mph are expected today and this evening. The strong winds will cause areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility for several hours after the snow has ended.
From the National Weather Service this morning: A frigid and remarkably persistent Arctic airmass invades the region today through next week. Wind chill values could stay below -10 degrees all the way through next week for some locations. The coldest air is expected Saturday night through Tuesday, when min wind chill values drop below -30 degrees.
