Winter Storm Watch for Heavy Snow Saturday
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from 3 PM Saturday afternoon through 6 AM Sunday morning when a major winter storm could dump 6-10" across Central Minnesota.
In addition, northwest winds gusting to near 30 mph Saturday nigh, especially across southern and western Minnesota. Travel could become very difficult Saturday night through early Sunday.
From the National Weather Service this morning: More snow is on the way for the weekend, with moderate to heavy snow moving through Saturday afternoon and night. A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for much of the area. Several inches of snow will make for difficult travel Saturday afternoon-night, alter travel plans if possible.
