Why Teens Can’t Smell Their Stinky Rooms
Do you have teenagers? Do you ever notice the stench that comes out of the room when you open the door? What is that?! What is going on?! Do they not smell that funk?
There is a new study out of Denmark that we found in DAILY MAIL.
According to the study, teenagers were less likely than any other age group to recognize the scent of sweat and body odor; Thus, the reason their rooms are smelly. Basically, if YOU aren't cleaning their room, they aren't going to do it, because they don't even KNOW that is stinks.
Teenagers are also the least likely to recognize the scent of "SOAP." I can imagine them holding up swatches of cloth with scents of sweat, stinky feet, garbage bags, and soap. They can't recognize soap because they don't know what it is?!
What CAN teens smell? Unhealthy foods, like:
- Coke
- Ketchup
- Cookies
- Cotton Candy
- Marshmallows
- Candy bars
So get used to smelly teens because unless you're cleaning them all the time, they don't smell themselves. Mystery solved.
