Ever since The CW agreed to a prequel to ‘Sex and the City,’ everyone’s been wondering who would get the role of a young Carrie Bradshaw. Now we know who the lucky lady is.

And that lucky lady.....is not me. (Sad Face) I have a healthy addiction to SATC and do a yearly marathon from beginning to end with the two movie versions as well. But the lucky lady to portray a young Carrie Bradshaw is....18-year-old AnnaSophia Robb.

Her name may not be well know but you might remember her from her work as Violet Beauregarde in Tim Burton’s 2005  ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,’ and she’s also appeared in the movies ‘Bridge to Terabithia’ and ‘Race to Witch Mountain.’ Most recently Anna played Bethany Hamilton in the movie 'Soul Surfer.' She joins the previously-cast Stefania Owen, who will play Carrie’s little sister in the project.

The new series is based on the novel ‘The Carrie Diaries’ by Candace Bushnell (who also wrote the book that spawned the original series). The plotline will center on a young Bradshaw as she "comes of age in the 1980s and asks her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan.”

Aside from Carrie herself, not much about the new series will look familiar. Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t involved, and Samantha Jones is the only member of the famous quartet of friends that’s also in the prequel.

If you had to choose the SATC character that best describes you, would it be Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, or Samantha?
