What Was Your Childhood Hustle?
What was your hustle as a kid?
I came home from work the other day to find the cutest hand-made signs posted around our apartment complex.
"Dog Walking," they advertised in big colorful letters. We have a dog who could use more socialization during the week, so I stopped to read more.
"Saturday, Sundays and weeknights," were listed as availability, which works great for us as we typically have at least one conflict during that time frame a week.
"$2 for 15 minutes of dog walking," is an absolute steal unless you're a kid trying to make a few extra bucks.
"Can include play time in fenced in dog area if wanted." No, I wouldn't be upset if you wore our dog out!
"I will care for and clean up after your dog." Who do I call and when can you start?!
"Call Izzy @ [phone number removed] (evening) to discuss availability." I don't know how old Izzy is or whether or not her parents put her up to this, but she sounds like a businesswoman in the making to me!
I remember hosting the occasional lemonade stand with brownies or Rice Krispie treats as a kid. When I was a teenager, I mowed a neighbor's lawn once a week for extra money (and to help her out).
