If you need a way to get the kids out of the house this summer and make sure they have fun in the process, they can bowl for free in Sartell starting in June.

Select bowling centers and schools around the country are participating in the first ever Kids Bowl Free program. This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.

Kids Bowl Free is happening at Great River Bowl in Sartell starting June 1st, and it runs through August 22nd. The hours kids can bowl for free are Monday - Thursday 11 am - 7 pm, Friday and Saturday 11 am - 5 pm, and Sundays 11 am - 6 pm. During that time frame, kids can bowl two free games each day.

In order to bowl for free, kids must be between the ages of 2 and 15, and they must be registered online by a parent or guardian. All kids must also wear bowling shoes which can be rented for a small fee if they do not have their own.

Bowling is something I didn't do a lot of as a kid, but I wish I would have. What's nice is that it is a sport that can be played at any age, and with any group size. From going in for a solo practice round, to playing in a league, to going out on a Friday night with friends, bowling is a fantastic activity to be involved in.
