“Weird Al” Yankovic Parodies Lady Gaga With Or Without Her Permission
"Weird Al" Yankovic says Lady Gaga didn’t give him permission to release a parody of her song, "Born This Way." He wanted it to be the first single from his upcoming album saying,
"I wrote and recorded what I thought was going to be the first single off of my new album: a parody of "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga called "Perform This Way." But after hearing it, Lady Gaga decided not to give me permission to release the song, so. . . it won't be coming out commercially anytime in the near future. Sorry."
Conflicting reports now say Lady Gaga is a huge fan and has given permission for Weird Al to go ahead. Either way, here’s what the song sounds like.
