Yes, that's an old picture.

If you're free today or this evening, you'd be doing a lot of people a big favor by helping fill sandbags in Waterville.

Le Sueur County Emergency Management Seeks Volunteers to Fill Sandbags

All this rain has led to a lot of flooding in the upper Midwest. Volunteers are being sought to help fill sandbags to stave off the water in Waterville.

Volunteers must:

  • be 18 years of age, or older
  • wear closed-toe shoes
  • sign in upon arrival

The community has been helping each other through the crisis, but more help is needed. If you can help, the Le Sueur County Emergency Management team will meet from 9am to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm today at the City Shop in Waterville.

If you can't fill sandbags, other spots can be found to help.
