Sartell Sunday experienced some heavy rain which caused some neighborhood level flooding. That according to Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum...he joined me on WJON. He says these occasional pop up showers can be problematic in low lying neighborhoods in Sartell like the Wilds and Celebration.
Portions of the city of Sartell are still dealing with the effects of the heavy rains last week and earlier this spring. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum joined me on WJON today. He says the significant rainfall last Thursday evening that fell not only in the immediate area but to the north near Bakers Lake area has impacted Sartell because the rain to the north always rushes south as it makes its way to the Mississippi River.
A heavy downpour in the St. Cloud metro area caused flooding in the streets and many backyards Thursday. The rain started around 11:00 a.m. and finally let up by around 2:00 p.m.
The Foley Police Department was called to the 200 block of Highway 23 last (Monday) night after 10:00 p.m. for a report of a stalled car in the water on the road. Officers found several cars trying to travel on Highway 23.
The Benton County sheriff is asking boaters to be safe and courteous during this high water period. July 11th storms have dumped large amounts of water into lakes, rivers and streams.
